Volto sorpreso al buio. Da vecchie lastre di un anonimo fotografo degli anni ’50 ho ricavato questo impossibile film (lastre che hanno contribuito anche a comporreun mio piccolo libro dal titolo Sconosciuti). Fotogramma per Fotogramma, lastra per lastra con lembi di luce riflessae lembi di decine di volti, ho provato a sottoporli a un unico flusso cinetico pensando ad un solitario, singolo volto emerso dal buio.
Volto sorpreso al buio [Face Caught In The Dark]. From old plates of an anonymous photographer who worked in the 50s, I extracted this impossible film (plates that had contributed to the composition of one of my little books with the title Sconosciuti [Persons Unknown] Frame by frame, plate by plate, with strips of reflected light and strips of tens of faces, I tried to bring them into a single cinematic stream, thinking about a solitary, single face emerging from the darkness.
